Free SEO Tool Called TouchGraph That is Really Helpful for Link Building
Recently I found a new SEO Tool, the “TouchGraph Google Browser”. It reveals the network of connectivity between websites, as reported by Google’s database of related sites. A java based application called TouchGraph uses Google’s database of related sites to map out connections between websites and web documents.
This is an interesting view of how your website has relationships with others through Google search. I am still trying to figure out how this is useful other than it draws really pretty pictures. I am currently reading Linked and am fascinated by graph theory, networks and all that entails. Perhaps this chart is useful but I am still figuring out how.
You can use this free Java application to explore the connections between related websites and quickly find relations that were not obvious before.
You can see the TouchGraph results for the keyword “link building”, which happens to be one of the keywords that I want to rank for, and which happens to have a lot of competition. The Touch Graph application revealed to me that several of the results that appear on page 1 in Google have a link from a certain page on searchenginewatch.com.

Ive seen this over at Aaron Wall’s site and other top SEO blogs, but thought that they were hand drawn. I was thinking of developing a link visualization tool, so thanks for bringing this to my attention.
We can all use this to see patterns in our campaigns like analyzing why a competitor’s site is ranking higher than yours. or maybe you can check why some of your sites in the same niche are not ranking higher as your other sites.
