What is Geo targeting?

Geo targeting is the method of customizing an advertisement for a service to a specific market based on the Physical Location or geographic location like Country base, state base, city base. Geo targeting is the method of determining the Geographical location or a Physical location of the web site visitor and delivering users to that visitor based on his/her location, such as country, state, city. Geo Targeting means target a market or advertisement at a limited set of visitors based on their physical location.
When a user requests a page from the server, the server queries the user’s IP address against a database of worldwide IP addresses. The database identifies the country, state, city of the user’s IP address, and then the server decides what to do.
